10 – 11 a.m., Feb. 19, 2024

Dr. Ana Lobo is a Planetary Climate scientist studying rocky Exoplanets. Her work aims to advance our capabilities for exoplanet climate characterization by advancing planetary climate theory, guiding target selection, and developing new mechanisms to translate observational data into robust planetary climate assessments for researchers and the public. Dr. Lobo founded WLF, a non-profit that provides educational opportunities for women pursuing STEM fields, focusing on high-school girls of color and working within low-income Latinx communities. WLF offers free STEM-related classes, seminars, and mentoring. Join us for an informal conversation with Dr. Lobo about her career path and outreach work. This meeting is organized by GEMS (Gender Minorities in Steward) and TIMESTEP.
