Previously a JPL Postdoctoral Fellow and NASA Postdoctoral Fellow who studied the organic chemistry of icy ocean worlds using Raman/IR spectroscopy and X-ray Diffraction, Ellen Czaplinski is now a Research Engineer at Honeybee Robotics where she applies her lab skills and environmental chamber expertise to TVAC testing, and providing scientific input to R&D projects.
As a member of the Blue Origin family of companies, Honeybee Robotics designs and builds robotics to explore and utilize space. Space mining robots can dig, collect, process, and transfer samples for analysis, on site utilization, or return. Technology includes robotic arms, manipulators, deployment booms, and associated avionics and software. Instruments developed can analyze atmosphere, fluids, and solid samples on Earth or in extreme environments, from the Moon to Titan. https://www.blueorigin.com/exploration-systems
