Join us in congratulating this year’s students on their accomplishments! Also learn about the new ASTR 276 course, Research Methods in Astronomy, which will be available to 2nd year astronomy and physics majors in the fall of 2026.

TIMESTEP’s Research Apprenticeship Program provides 2nd year University of Arizona astronomy and physics majors a paid opportunity to build technical and professional skills that are transferable to both research and industry. Through weekly professional development workshops, along with skills-building projects in a research group overseen by a faculty advisor, the program teaches the necessary computing and hardware skills for students to land competitive positions.
